Logan Paul officially hit the 200-day mark of his United States Championship reign. Despite that, the social media star has defended his title only twice. Taking that into account, the WWE Universe criticized The Maverick on social media with calls for him to defend his championship more frequently. As such, the champion responded to the fan outcry.
Paul revealed on X that his motive was always to work smarter and not harder. After he defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel last year, fans hoped that the YouTuber-turned-wrestler would turn fortunes for the title. However, he has appeared sporadically on television since defending the title on only two occasions.
His first title defense came at the Royal Rumble. The 29-year-old retained his championship in controversial fashion against Kevin Owens. Two months later, Paul took part in a triple-threat bout involving Owens and Randy Orton at WrestleMania XL. After help from outside interference, the Ohio-born star defeated the two veterans of the business.

Paul would return to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. After a hard-hitting battle, The American Nightmare emerged victorious as the Social Media Megastar failed to become a double champion. Since losing to Rhodes, he has been absent from television tapings. Having said that, there’s a certain Megastar lying in wait for him.
LA Knight and Logan Paul will likely come face-to-face on SmackDown
For weeks, LA Knight has called out Logan Paul and expressed his desire to win the US title. However, the latter has chosen to ignore him as he continues his vacation following his loss at King and Queen of the Ring. As such, the former TNA star took matters into his own hands on the latest edition of the show.
Knight flew all the way to Puerto Rico and invaded The Maverick’s house. Moreover, he warned the United States Champion and told him he was coming after him. Paul then revealed that he will be appearing in Chicago, the location for the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
Therefore, Paul and Knight will most likely be confronting each other amid tension between the pair. From the look of things, the megastars are seemingly headed for a US Championship clash at Money in the Bank. It will be interesting to see whether the former Eli Drake finally gets his hands on his first championship gold in WWE.
