Taylor Lynn Rooks was born on May 22, 1992, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America. Rooks comes from a sporting family as her father, Thomas Rooks, was a former footballer, and her uncle, Lou Brock, is a former professional baseball outfielder. Another uncle, Marv Woodson, played for a few famous teams in the NFL. Her sister, Ryan Rooks, is a former swimmer and cheerleader.

Rooks attended Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Georgia, and graduated in 2010. Following her family’s tradition, she got admitted into the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she majored in broadcast journalism. As a student, Rooks covered and broke national football/basketball recruiting stories while working with Scout.com.
